Responsibilities

The Real Estate & Leasing Associate is responsible for supporting all leasing and legal documentation processes, preparation of necessary presentations and summaries, and directly supporting the Director of Real Estate with growth strategy activity (i.e. assessment of prospective markets).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Directly assists the Director of Real Estate to execute on growth strategy and continuously identify and review real estate growth opportunities, including:
    • Implementing new and/or managing improvements to GIS software.
    • Evaluating potential markets against existing portfolio whitespace to identify expansion markets.
    • Assisting Real Estate team to deliver against annual real estate pipeline targets.
    • Liaising with developers and/or brokerage partners to direct market searches and assess proposed sites.
  • Prepares formal presentations, including regular Real Estate Committee presentations, and ad hoc presentations and reports as requested.
  • Assists Director of Real Estate with critical document tracking and execution, including:
    • Address Verifications
    • Leases/Amendments
    • Commencement Date Agreements
    • Estoppel/SNDA/Memorandums
  • Maintains tracking of construction scheduling and execution of critical tasks related to project management via Smartsheet.
  • Communicates data insights via development of advanced visualization tools and executive reporting. 
  • Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training.
  • Ensure adherence to objectives, operating policies and procedures, and strategic action plans for achieving goals.
  • Motivates self and overall team and supports supervisors within team to create a positive, productive, and efficient work environment supportive of our values while meeting and exceeding our company goals.
  • Leads by example, within team and as a result overall staff in attitude and work performance that represents our values.
  • The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands.
  • Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance training

Experience Requirements and Preferences:

Education:  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or relevant field.

            AND

Experience: 2+ years of Real Estate experience with commercial leases
