The Behavioral Health Records Specialist reports to Behavioral Health Clinical Coordinator and in lieu the Director of Behavioral Health and is a member of the Behavioral Health team. The Behavioral Health Records Specialist position involves consistent, quality customer service to both internal staff members and external patients. The Records Specialist will have a primary focus of gathering information and records for patient appointments, uploading assessment results in the chart, assisting with our letter and forms process, creating patient profiles for charting and prescribing practices for our behavioral health (BH) team. They will listen to the patients’ request and take appropriate action to respond to it, including but not limited to the assisting with letter and form requests, input of patient insurance information in the system, creating chart for patient in prescription system, gathering releases for patient care, sending lab order forms and requests to patient, uploading lab results and/or assessments in the patient chart, ensuring any hospital or primary care records are scanned in the chart if applicable before the first appointment. As a team member of the clinical team, you may also assist with documenting patient encounters and provide information to outside facilities who are referring to behavioral health services. In managing these requests, the Behavioral Health Records Specialist will exemplify the highest level of customer service with a focus on efficiency and quality. The Behavioral Health Records Specialist will consistently demonstrate proficient data entry skills and knowledge of the importance in maintaining confidentiality. It is essential that they demonstrate efforts to maintain and improve job-specific competencies, and perform other duties as assigned.
This is a fully remote role with flexible schedule options Monday-Friday (40 hours/week). You must live in one of our 6 states (TN, KY, IN, AL, LA, or MS with preference for TN). The pay range for this position is $12-14/hour.
